TORONTO, Ontario – March 20, 2014 – Fight Network, the world’s premier combat sports network dedicated to complete coverage of combat sports including fights, fighters, fight news and fight lifestyle, is adding BroadView Software's new OnDemand module to its existing BroadView programming, traffic and sales system.
The new OnDemand module enables Fight Network to evolve and expand its business to meet audience demand for content whenever, wherever and however across multiple platforms including TV, web, mobile and radio. Operating alongside linear, streaming and international scheduling systems, the OnDemand module essentially eliminates the constant, significant manual intervention required to offer nonlinear content across multiple platforms. Through this, it enables an emerging media business model that is fast transforming the industry.
"BroadView's OnDemand module is a key component to our growth plans because it makes it practical for us to serve up content the way our distributors and audiences want it," said Anthony Cicione, Fight Network GM. "To take advantage of the exciting new opportunities requires the new set of tools that BroadView offers."
Cicione added that BroadView's OnDemand module has made it very easy and cost effective to offer their product in so many different ways.
"With Fight Network's implementation of our OnDemand module, they join the growing number of media outlets who know that the future is here and now," said Michael Atkin, BroadView Founding Partner and President. "We've painstakingly developed this toolset by working with clients to solve real-world problems. With it, we've taken nonlinear from science experiment to a working business model able to fill the public's growing appetite for nonlinear content."
Atkin added that the OnDemand module is a natural extention of BroadView's unified information management design. With OnDemand, media companies are able to add true nonlinear, multiplatform capabilities that are practical, scalable and profitable. It can be operated as a tightly interated element with BroadView Software's end-to-end media management systems including traffic, billing and scheduling or can be integrated with other popular systems.
