Mar 10, 2003 - BroadView announces new Order Interface Module

Now available to all current BroadView licence holders, this module imports sales proposal or submission information from popular external systems and automatically creates ad contracts in BroadView. The module currently supports SDS and Rep-Pak systems but is also extendable to support any proposal or submission software on the market.

"Our goal with BroadView has always been to continually improve its integration with other systems," said Sean Leyne, vice-president of BroadView Software. "Order entry and contract creation has always been tedious and time consuming. Now our users can have a module that does away with most of that work," he added.

The Order Interface Module automates the process of contract creation. A "smart" wizard intelligently assists the user to extract the required data and to create an ad contract from a submission or proposal.

While the module greatly speeds up the process, it does not take away control from the user. The ultimate decision on the exact structure of the detail lines and how they should be rolled out is still in the hands of the human operator.

This latest BroadView add-on supplements existing product interfaces for broadcast automation, accounting and program costing, and Nielsen data imports. Coming soon is a new Electronic Data Interface (EDI) module.
