Reliable & Scaleable

BroadView is deployed using standard Windows servers. Compared to previous generation solutions requiring expensive mini or mainframe computer systems, BroadView can provide many times the performance on a highly reliable platform, at a fraction of the cost.

BroadView environments generally include from one to six Windows servers. BroadView's design allows it to scale across multiple servers, thus increasing reliability and performance. Simple single-station environments are generally deployed on a single server, those requiring higher performance or increased redundancy are deployed on two servers. In complex, multi-station network / affiliate environments, multiple servers, often as many as six, are used to provide improved reliability and increased redundancy, as well as far higher performance.

This scalable technology is provided for "out of the box". BroadView is not licensed on a CPU or server basis. In fact it is not licensed on the number of concurrent users. BroadView is licensed on a station basis, thus making it more economical to acquire, deploy and support.

The typical BroadView environment would include a primary server supporting the main database and application server and a secondary server. The secondary server runs the report server and provides redundancy for the main server. By spreading the main parts of the BroadView application over multiple servers, we increase performance while improving reliability by providing a physically redundant secondary system that can take over the tasks of the primary server. Application reliability and up time are extremely high using this approach.

In larger and more complex network / affiliate or multi-station environments, the secondary server can become a dedicated server and multiple report servers can be added for even greater performance. All of these servers are standard, relatively economical Windows servers utilizing fairly generic and cost effective configurations. All software other than the operating system is provided with the BroadView software. No expensive or additional database or other licenses are required.
