BroadView Version 8.0 Enhancement Videos
At BroadView, we make it our mission to listen to our clients and address issues that matter to them; continually improving and updating our software to seamlessly merge with your existing system and to add features that accommodate the changing needs of broadcast systems and schedulers.
The release of Broadview v 8.0 includes many new features that you’ve been asking for.
Our Product Manager Sylvia Schroer, thought that rather than just tell you about the enhancements we made to the software, that she’s show them to you.
We selected eight of our favorite updates which Sylvia demo’s in these quick videos.
Ten of the most exciting updates we’re proud to launch are:
Promo Campaign Management (PCM): This tool allows users to create, plan and execute promo campaigns and uses a plotter (similar to the ad engine) to plot spots on logs in an intelligent way
Master Program: The ability to group one or more series or episodes under a “parent” to allow for a Series-Season-Episode relationship to be created
Program Template: Users are able to bulk create programs (outside of the deal form). This feature also includes the ability to automatically create house numbers as part of the publishing process
Schedule Templates: This will allow users to make schedule changes in a single place and then apply those changes to multiple schedules as needed
Enhancements to Approval Workflows: Allows fields to go through an approval process before being updated to a new value
“New” Avails: A new Avails Analysis tool to replace the current tool. The new tool allows for many more analysis options
Metadata Inheritance: Extended data fields can be entered in a parent form and populate in child forms.
Replace in Schedule function: This feature allows users to use a keyboard shortcut to replace items in the schedule without the need to delete the previously scheduled item
Support of Secondary Breaks: Users will be able to sell secondary events as part of a regular buy
Network scheduling: Multicast Wizard has been extended to support time DST/Non DST time zone, as well as time zone offsets for live programs.
