Discovery Communications Implements BroadView Scheduling

LAS VEGAS, Nevada - (NAB Booth N3130) April 5, 2014 - Discovery Communications, the world's #1 non-fiction media company, is now utilizing BroadView Software's Program Scheduling technology to optimize operations for all of its US broadcast networks including Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet and Investigation Discovery.

Upgrading Discovery's broadcast scheduling functionality with BroadView began in early 2012. Implementation to all of Discovery's 14 U.S. networks and joint ventures began in June, 2013 with completion in March, 2014.

A critical aspect of the project was the need for tight integration with Discovery's existing inventory management and traffic systems. The resulting streamlined workflow provides improved efficiency for the users and better accuracy and control of information.
