New Booth Highlights OnDemand; Atkin to Appear on OTT & Programmatic Panels

TORONTO, Ontario – April 6, 2016 – At NAB 2016, BroadView Software, the industry leading tech firm focused on media management solutions, is unveiling important new product advances and offerings designed to streamline operations, improve profitability and harness the burgeoning demand for OTT offerings.

In addition to continual events and presentations at BroadView's booth in North Hall (N2925), Michael Atkin, BroadView Software Founding Partner and President, will be appearing on two panels at the third annual NAB Finance and Investor Conference (MFIC ). The MFIC, held at the Wynn Encore Hotel on April 18 & 19, is an important new part of the NAB Show in Las Vegas. This is Atkin's second year participating as a panelist at the MFIC.

BroadView's newly redesigned booth features improved meeting space, demonstration areas and informal settings for meeting with existing customers. Front-and-center throughout is OnDemand 2.0, the industry's flagship OTT product.

Aside from these ongoing events in the North Hall, Broadview's Atkin will be sharing some of his insights at the MFIC. He, along with other industry leaders, will be looking towards the emerging horizons of the media business at the MFIC's "Cord Cutting & OTT" panel on Monday, April 18 at 4:30pm and "Advertising Industry Outlook" panel on Tuesday, April 19 at 1:05pm.

According to Atkin, "Cord Cutting & OTT" will be a must-see event.

"Last year's OTT panel may have been one of the most vital discussions at NAB about the direction we're headed away from traditional linear programming streams and the revenues they've generated," Atkin said. "This year's conversation will be even more crucial as the transformation continues at an even faster pace making developing an OTT and content monetization strategy a top priority."

Then, the "Advertising Industry Outlook" panel will include another hot button topic, programmatic advertising. Atkin will be presenting a counter opinion to what may have become the mainstream view.

“Over the last couple of years, many companies have entered the market with various different programmatic offerings without facing what's really important here - how is programmatic going to shape the industry?  Broadcasters are not nearly as upbeat on programmatic as its most avid promoters. The adoption rate as a percentage of ad spend is going to be much smaller than these boosters would have us believe. Further, without any common currency in big data, it is very challenging for advertisers and agencies to effectively evaluate actual value delivered. Overall, programmatic has a very challenging growth path,” said Atkin.
